Stories of Lives Transformed Through Our Initiatives

Ankita's Story

Ankita (name changed), a newborn rescued by MISSION ASHRA in 2003 alongside her mentally ill mother, Laxmi Rao, was placed under the care of People's Forum's AAMA GHARA in 2014, following the Child Welfare Committee's directive. At AAMA GHARA, Ankita received shelter, education, counselling, and holistic support, which nurtured her growth and development. She excelled academically, completing her 10th and 12th grades with distinction and later joined a Government ITI program to build independent skills. Now employed in Bangalore, Ankita aspires to reunite with her mother once financially stable. Her journey reflects resilience and the transformative impact of compassionate care.
