The Goshala was set up and organized by the People’s Forum in collaboration with the Housing and Urban Development Department, Government of Odisha under control over the executive officer, Jatni municipality. The aim of Goshala is to nurture and care for animals in distress and protect these strays from ending up at slaughterhouses or being tranquilized.
