People's Forum took the initiative for senior citizens by establishing BHARASHA in 2019 in the Jharsuguda district to provide a supportive and nurturing environment. It provided a home care residential facility that offered safe housing and a caring atmosphere for elderly individuals who had faced abandonment, neglect, or exploitation, helping them live dignified and reasonably independent lives through community-based services.

After rescuing seniors in need, there was an observation period to assess their requirements, after which their treatment plans were initiated to take care of their physiological and psychological wellness. When the organization was able to reach out to their families, the residents were reunited to ensure complete acceptance, a better future, and overall well-being.
