About Urban Health and Wellness Centre

The UHWC was envisaged to decentralize comprehensive primary health care services below the existing UPHC in newly targeted NUHM cities, acting as a standalone facility in smaller towns and peri-urban areas. The HWC primarily focused on planning and coordinating various health functions, including public health surveillance, early identification of diseases, vector control measures, school health programs, and community health awareness campaigns. The main aim of the UHWC was to provide primary healthcare services, promote wellness and health, ensure access to essential medication, engage with the community, and establish a referral system. The organization functioned with the UHWC in Sonepur and effectively catered to the healthcare needs of people across various locations.

Camp details:
UHWC have organised camps in 4 villages on non-communicable diseases with 400 number of beneficiaries & special outreach health camp in 3 villages with 300 number of beneficiaries.
